The rumor that the latest generation of Apple Watch will make an appearance this year has been around for the past few months, and yet the tech giant has not yet disclosed any details to confirm or deny the reports. Many tech enthusiasts followed the recently concluded Worldwide Developers' Conference (WWDC) 2016 to get an update regarding the much anticipated Apple Watch 2, although many were disappointed as Apple made no mention of the new Apple Watch model.

In spite of the absence of Apple Watch 2 at WWDC this year, the rumors are still rife that Apple is set to release the next Apple Watch design by September, alongside their other big gadgets such as the iPhone 7. As reported by the Breathe CAST, the Apple Watch 2 will not be unveiled until the start of autumn this year, and it will be featuring more tools that were not present in the first Apple Watch launched in April last year.

According to the same report, the Apple Watch 2 will be sporting the same OLED display as its predecessor, although it is speculated that the supplier of Apple Watch's screen display will no longer be LG. Thus, the users can expect some changes regarding the over-all look of the new high-tech wrist watch. Moreover, Apple Watch 2 will be sporting new smart bands that will enable various features regarding health and sleep monitoring.

Value Walk also noted of the latest speculation that unlike the first Apple Watch, the next design will have a rounded appearance. However, Apple may also decide to stick with its current modern shape and design to keep up with the current trends. If the Apple Watch 2 still has the same shape and look, it will be made as thinner and lighter than the first.

Even though Apple Watch 2 was not announced at WWDC earlier this week, Apple has revealed the new version of the smartwatch operating system called WatchOS 3, which promises a faster app performance compared to the previous WatchOS versions.
