There are reports suggesting that the highly anticipated Apple Watch 2 will finally arrive next month following the Memorial Day discount for the original device.

According to reports, the discount applied on the current iteration of the Apple tech watch signals the arrival of the new model. There have been numerous reports saying that the Apple Watch 2 will be launched at the upcoming Apple Worldwide Developers Conference or WWDC 2016, which is scheduled to happen in June in San Francisco, California.

According to Phone Arena, Apple fans will receive a $200 discount on every Apple Watch bought at Best Buy. Prices will still vary per variant. Consumers can get the tech watch somewhere between $349 and $399. However, the price cuts are only offered to the standard model of the device. The discount is for a limited offer and only available during the Memorial Day weekend.

History suggests that price cuts on current iterations always signals the arrival of the successors. If rumors prove to be true, the company may release the Apple Watch 2 immediately after its launching at the WWDC event.

Meanwhile, there are also speculations that the Cupertino-based company may launch the device in September, along with other Apple devices including the much awaited iPhone 7. Many fans are saying that the next iteration of the Apple tech watch is already overdue since the original device was released in April last year.

Previous reports suggest that the new Apple Watch will no longer be dependent on iPhone as it will already have a cellular feature. There are rumors saying that the smart watch will have the capability of sending text messages and making calls without being connected to an iPhone.

As of the moment, Apple has continued to stay mum about the development and the release date of the Apple Watch 2. However, many fans believe that the company will provide significant details at the upcoming WWDC 2016.
