For the past few months, there have been numerous contradicting reports regarding the upcoming iPhone 7 from Apple. New reports suggest that the highly anticipated smartphone may not come out with a Smart Connector.

According to a report from Mac Otakara, Japanese-based site, the Cupertino tech giant has decided to exclude the Smart Connecter from the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. This has also been reported by 9to5mac, which shows the leaked images of the upcoming iteration.

There have been rumors circulating for the past months suggesting that the upcoming iPhone 7 will feature several amazing features including the Smart Connector. This feature appeared on the latest 12.9-inch iPad Pro, which was released last fall. Apparently, the rumor has missed the mark, if we base it in the new leaked images.

Mac Otakara also suggested that Apple originally planned to include the Smart Connector to the upcoming flagship smartphone. However, the company decided to drop the connector from the final design. Following the introduction of the new port last year, Apple followers and critics predicted it to make its way to the new iPhone model.

Nonetheless, these pieces of information are merely just rumors and speculations. Apple has yet to provide any significant feature of the upcoming device, much less its release date. The possibility of the Smart Connector to be included in one of its features is still on the table until Apple decides to deny it.

Meanwhile, the rumors about its specifications are still all over the Internet. The possibility of a dual camera feature is still something fans can't stop talking about. It is also reported that iPhone 7 will feature a cleaner back design, which is something tech freaks is excited about.

There have been rumors that the next iPhone iteration will be the highlight of the upcoming Apple event, Worldwide Developers Conference or WWDC 2016.
