Apple iPhone 7 release date news and updates: Sept. 7 event confirmed; iPhone 7 launching inevitable?

Apple has finally made it official. The company has already announced to hold a big event on Sept. 7, in which many people expect the new iPhone 7 will be launched.
Although the Cupertino-based company has yet to confirm the launching of the next generation iPhone, Apple fans hope that the company will launch the new smartphone with other highly anticipated products such as the MacBook Pro 2016 and Apple Watch 2.
According to a report by USA Today, the Sept. 7 event will take place at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco. Apparently, there is no obvious hint as to what the company has in store for the event. The publication suggested that Apple might unveil two iPhone models during the event – the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
As of today, the company has yet to confirm the development and release date of the upcoming iPhone 7. Despite its heavy rumor, Apple has remained tight-lipped about it. Nonetheless, the handset has been a favorite subject of numerous rumors and speculations all over the Internet.
According to IT Pro, Apple cofounder Steve Wozniak warned that eliminating the 3.5mm headphone jack from iPhone might be a bad idea.
"If it's missing the 3.5mm earphone jack, that's going to tick off a lot of people," Wozniak said.
However, multiple reports have already emerged suggesting that the company has decided to replace the traditional 3.5 mm headphone jack in favor of the next iPhone's Lightning port.
Another interesting rumor that has circulated online is that the new iPhone 7 will carry up to 256 GB internal storage capacity. There are also speculations saying that Apple might no longer manufacture the 16 GB iPhone as they will now start with the 32 GB iPhone variant.
Nevertheless, reports about its specs and features must be taken with a grain of salt until the company makes the official announcement.
