Apple iPhone 7 release date and specs rumors: New leaks revealed the design of the device, heading for a September release?

The upcoming Apple iPhone 7 has been making a lot of buzz lately. Many people believe that the Cupertino-based tech giant is preparing to reveal its brand new flagship smartphone sometime this year. Although it is unlikely for the hot new device to be announced before fall, rumors all over the internet are saying otherwise.
According to reports, the much-awaited iPhone 7 could be introduced at the upcoming Apple Worldwide Developers Conference or WWDC 2016. The event is scheduled to start on June 13 and will end on June 17.
There are strong speculations coming from fans and critics that the device will be unveiled in September 2016. The current iPhone iteration was released in September 2015 and tech observers do not see any reason why Apple will change its release timeline.
New report has also surfaced online that shows new photos of the forthcoming iPhone 7. The alleged footages show the design and early prototypes of the smartphone. Basing on the images, it appears that Apple will remove the home key button and replace it with an on-screen one.
The photos were obtained by Apple Insider, which is said to have been taken in China. It is now being circulated online by various media publication.
Previous rumors suggest that Apple may drop the headphone jack in their next development and it shows no evidence of it in the photos. However, it still has the familiar external speakers on the bottom of the smartphone.
Meanwhile, Yahoo reported that people will see a huge difference between the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. According to the publication, the top of the line model will get the dual camera feature and has a 5.5-inch display. Apparently, the standard iPhone 7 will only get a 4.7-inch screen and a single lens main camera.
The device might not be released until September, which means that plenty more leaks and rumors will come anytime soon.
