Apple iPad Air 3 release date, specs news 2016: Tablet to arrive later this year?

The Apple iPad Air has been one of the most talked about releases in 2016. The tablet has been a subject of numerous contradicting reports for quite some time now. Previous reports have already suggested that the Cupertino-based company has already decided to cancel the production of any iPad Air in the future. However, new reports have emerged saying that Apple will launch the handheld device sometime in the fourth quarter of 2016.
When Apple skipped the iPad Air 3 during the recently concluded Worldwide Developers Conference or WWDC 2016 in June, many fans believe that the company will no longer release another model of the series. The device was supposed to be revealed during the launching of the current iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus in September 2015. The absence of the device during Apple's two major events led people to presume that the new iPad Air model will not be rolled out.
According to Mobile N Apps, Apple will release the iPad Air 3 in October. The publication based their prediction on the dates of the previous iPad Air releases. The first iteration of the series was launched in October 2013, which was followed by another model during the third quarter of the following year. Although the upcoming iPad Air 3 has already been overdue, many fans believe that Apple will finally roll it out late this year.
In a report by PC Advisor, Apple is definitely not going to cancel the iPad Air series because of its appeal to the masses. The device's affordability combined with Apple's quality will always do well in the market. The current iPad Pro appears to have the same specs and features as the iPad Air 2; however, the latter certainly has a cheaper price tag compared to the former.
Stay tuned for more updates and news about the upcoming iPad Air 3.
