Apple AirPods release date, specs news: wireless wearables may drop globally in December

As soon as Apple Inc. has felt that its controversial AirPods were not ready to be shipped off last October, people were quick to theorize whether the wireless earbuds will see the light of day this 2016 or not.
While most of the clamor for its quick shipping is mainly to accompany its iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus whose headphone ports were revealed to have been ditched when the devices were launched in the Cupertino-based firm's big event in September, some people are also wondering what might have been the true reason for the delay.
Interestingly, all of these doubts and speculations have now been quelled — courtesy of a certain Czech retailer that has risen to the occasion rather unwittingly (or not) — with the AirPods' leaked release date. Accordingly, the December shipment was spotted by Czech tech publication Letem Svetem Applem on Alza, in which the upcoming earbuds are now available for preorder. Despite Alza being known as an Apple retail store, AirPods are still unavailable in the company's Czech store.
Apple's Bluetooth-enabled earbuds, AirPods, closely resemble the previous earphones made by the firm. Furthermore, the accessories have new user interactions in which users can remove AirPods from one of their ears in order to pause a certain track along with tapping gestures that can activate the Siri software agent. Meanwhile, the device can also play audio from any device that supports Bluetooth. On the other hand, experts have tipped that these earbuds would work best on iOS 10-supporting devices.
Launched alongside Apple Watch Series 2, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, Apple's AirPods might become its staple earbuds from now as the firm is not planning to re-introduce a headphone jack anytime soon. AirPods will go on sale for $159.
