Apple AirPods release date, specs, news: Barclays analyst says wireless earbuds to begin production in December

One of the most frenzied and hectic days in the lives of impulsive shoppers are about to conclude and Apple's controversial, wireless earbuds — AirPods — are still nowhere to be found, much to its fans' dismay.
Ever since it was teased back in September, Apple AirPods have gone from being subjected with much anticipation, to silent and collective disappointment, all the way to renewed vigor as the Cupertino-based firm has confirmed previously that it is delaying its release date as the company is reportedly not ready yet to ship off the accessories. The patient consumers are clearly subjected too in a rollercoaster of emotions.
Perhaps one of the more tangible pieces of information the iconic earbuds have come to surface lately is about the development of its production. According to Barclays semiconductor analyst Blayne Curtis, the $159 AirPods may very well be starting its production in December and will initially target to produce at least ten to fifteen million units of the said device.
Meanwhile, Apple has recently announced its plans for a special shopping event on Black Friday which is deemed to be a crucial shopping holiday in the United States. Some of the best "deals" the tech giant has offered aren't too thrilling as consumers will have to pay for the full price of its Macs, Apple Watches and iPads in order to be eligible for gift cards which range from $25 to $150.
As such, Apple may very well release the much-awaited AirPods in December as it would be foolish for the company not to take advantage of the holiday season in which virtually everyone is on the lookout for major releases. On its end, it is also the time for them to ship off the minute device to boost the sales of the recently unwrapped iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, which both came without the traditional headphone jack.
