Anne Graham-Lotz's Husband Danny Found Unresponsive in Pool

The son-in-law of famed evangelical pastor Billy Graham is reportedly receiving treatment at a local hospital after he was found unresponsive in his pool at his Raleigh, North Carolina home.

Anne Graham-Lotz, daughter to Billy Graham, announced via Facebook that her 78-year-old husband Danny Lotz was reportedly found unconscious in his pool in an incident on Monday.

Lotz said via her Facebook page that she is thankful for the many prayers she has receive for Danny, adding that he is receiving treatment at an unnamed hospital.

"Thank you for your prayers as we walk through this valley of the shadow. Danny is holding his own. The next 24 hours are critical and should give us some answers," Lotz said in a Facebook update on Tuesday.

"This I call to mind and therefore I have hope; because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning. [...] Lamentations 3:21-23," she added.

Lotz reportedly suffers from many medical issues, including diabetic seizures, although it remains unclear what caused Monday's incident.

The family also released a statement Monday detailing the incident, saying: "Danny Lotz, Anne's husband, was found by Anne unresponsive in their pool around 3:45pm Monday August 17. He is currently in a hospital ICU receiving excellent care. There are no answers yet as to the outcome. The family is standing firm in faith, trusting Jesus. Thank you for your prayers."

According to The Charlotte Observer, Lotz, a former basketball player, has been involved throughout his life with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He is a retired dentist.
