Android 5.0 Lollipop Update for Samsung Galaxy S5 Release Date Arrives In Europe

The new OS Android 5.0 Lollipop is slowly rolling out worldwide and will next bring sweet treats to the Samsung Galaxy S5.
News of the rollout originated from Poland, which is the preferred testing ground for smartphone and phablet products before they release the OS in other countries.
Since news of the Lollipop's release in Poland came to light, several other sites have reported that the rollout to the rest of Europe will follow. There are also rumors that the OS has started to roll out in South Korea, the home of Samsung.
CNET states that the release could follow the pattern that was seen in the LG's G3, which first rolled out the Lollipop in Poland and then launched it in South Korea. The release of the Android 5.0 Lollipop took place on Nov. 3.
There is no news of the Android 5.0 Lollipop releasing through US carriers on phones like the Samsung Galaxy S5. In fact most believe that the new OS will only be rolled out in the first month of 2015 as U.S. carriers have to test the OS after it is released by Samsung.
Samsung Galaxy S5 users in France, however, could be luckier as they are rumored to receive the update sometime during this month. However, those using the Galaxy Note 4 will only receive it in January 2015.
The OS was released immediately as an "out of the box update" on a number of tablets and smartphones like the HTC One M8 and HTC One M7(Google Play editions), Nexus 6 and Nexus 9.
Motorola for the first time decided to roll out the original version of the OS with minimal changes to its Moto X, Moto G, and Moto E devices. This allowed the manufacturer to release the update almost immediately to users and skip the wait time which is normally associated with an Android OS release.
Carriers and phone manufacturers often do not use the OS in its original form, layering it with "skins" instead to make it customer friendly.
