American Horror Story Freak Show Premiere Date, Spoilers: Season 4 Features 'Terrifying Clown'
American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy recently gave an interview where he offered some sneak peaks and spoilers to the upcoming season, Season 4, otherwise known as Freak Show.
According to Buzzfeed, Murphy revealed that the season will be featuring the most horriffic and "terrifying clown of all time". He said, We said in the writer's room that if we were going to do clowns, we were going to create the most terrifying clown of all time."
Indeed, the clown looks too scary even in the premiere's promo video.
"That was our goal when we were writing him, but I'm worried about people being too afraid of our clown. It's heart-stopping what he does. I'm worried. I'm worried that people are going to have cardiac arrests... The clown's intro in the first episode is ... even I was terrified of it. It's brutal. Two crew members told me they have had nightmares about this clown since we started shooting and they're not even scared of clowns. I think he's pretty extraordinary because, when you see why he's a clown and why he's wearing the mask ... just you wait", he added.
It was rumored early this year that the show will be have a curcus or carnival theme. It was extensively shared in social media and it turned out to be true.
Murphy revealed in another interview that the upcoming season will happen in the 1950's, with Jessica Lange playing a German role that she has been practicing.
American Horror Story is returning on screen October 8 on FX.
