AMD Polaris RX 470, RX 460 and RX 480 release date, price news update: New graphics card to hit the market before end of June
Following the successful release of the new Nvidia GeForce GTX GPUs, AMD has revealed its own graphics systems that are expected to compete with the latest Pascal-based cards. The RX 460 and the RX 470 were introduced during the PC Gaming Show at the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016.

According to the American multinational semiconductor company, AMD the new RX 460 is said to be "cool and efficient solution for the ultimate e-sports gaming experience," while the RX 470 was developed with a goal to achieve power-efficient HD gaming.
According to Raja Koduri, senior vice president and chief architect of Radeon Technologies Group, AMD, gamers today are forced to use outdated GPU hardware because of the lack of choices. The company wants to change that with their newly designed graphics card.
"Today only the top 16 percent of PC gamers are purchasing GPUs that deliver premium VR and Gaming experiences," Koduri said. "Hundreds of millions of gamers have been relegated to using outdated technology. Notebook gamers are often forced to compromise. And tens of millions more can only read about incredible PC VR experiences that they can't enjoy for themselves. That all changes with the Radeonâ„¢ RX Series, placing compelling and advanced high-end gaming and VR technologies within reach of everyone."
Meanwhile, during the E3 event, Lisa Su, AMD CEO, revealed the possible prices of the new GPUs. According to her, the new graphic cards will be available from $100-$300, which is way lower than the current releases from Nvidia.
In her interview with The Inquirer, Su said that gamers today normally have a budget of around $300.
"That's about 84 percent of the market, and we're trying to get extremely enthusiast performance at those types of price so that all gamers can enjoy that kind of performance," the CEO explained.
Meanwhile, the company has yet to provide concrete details regarding the highly anticipated RX 480. However, fans are expecting AMD to make an official announcement anytime soon. The AMD Polaris RX 470, RX 460 and RX 480 are expected to hit the shelves on June 29.
