Amateur Photographer Captures 'Hand of God' In UK Sky
An amateur photographer in the United Kingdom has been congratulated on his artistic eye after he took video footage of a wind tunnel that bears an uncanny resemblance to the "hand of God."
38-year-old David Christie took the footage near his home in Deal, located in Kent, U.K. recently. The footage shows a unique funnel cloud forming in front of a black sky, and the interesting cloud formation has many online saying it resembles a giant hand punching its way through the clouds.
Christie, a father of two, recorded the interesting weather footage while standing next to his wife, Christie, as a storm approached. "I love weather photography and I've taken a few pictures of small wind funnels in the past," the amateur photographer told The Mirror.
"But this was something else. It looked as though there was a huge hand piercing through the clouds - it was phenomenal," he continued, adding "It really did seem like the hand of God."
This recent video footage comes after residents in Snettisham, Norfolk spotted an image of a bearded man that they say resembled God in the clouds as the sun set one evening in July.
Jeremy Fletcher, an amateur photographer living in the area, said he took the photo with his phone, not realizing how remarkable the image would turn out.
"I realised the image looked remarkably like a face of a man with a beard so I took a number of shots on my phone. The face appeared to be looking back towards the shore," Fletcher told The Telegraph.
