"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." star Clark Gregg may have unwittingly spoiled the fates of his character Agent Coulson, Fitz (Iain De Caestecker), and Robbie Reyes/Ghost Rider (Gabriel Luna).

In the latest episode of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 4, it was revealed that Morrow (José Zúñiga) was behind the incident that turned everyone in the facility into ghost-like entities and that he is trying to reproduce the same results in the present. In the episode, Coulson, Fitz and Robbie were seemingly wiped off the face of the Earth by a similar explosion, leading fans to conclude that the three had either been vaporized or that Morrow's experiment had succeeded.

But Gregg may have preempted the upcoming reveal. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly's Spoiler Room, Gregg was asked about the fate of Fitz and how Jemma (Elizabeth Henstridge) will try to get him back.

Gregg answered that all is not as it seems and that the answer to the question may be a bit more complicated than fans anticipated.

"The more sophisticated audience members will suspect that Coulson may not be dead in episode 6 of season 4," Gregg said, "and probably the same goes for Fitz and young Robbie Reyes."

Cinema Blend notes that most fans would suspect that the three can't possibly be dead, given their importance in the world of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." What, then, could have happened to them? The outlets suggests that they could have been transported somewhere else, perhaps to a different dimension, a possibility that was recently introduced by "Doctor Strange."

As Marvel fans know, "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." always incorporates the events or elements of the Marvel Cinematic Universe into its storyline. Could the dimension-hopping aspect of "Doctor Strange" now be a thing in "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." too?

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." will return on Tuesday, Nov. 29, at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC.
