'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D' season 4, episode 10 spoilers: Director Mace is under attack

Jeffrey Mace (Jason O'Mara) takes the center stage tonight on "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" as he continues to deal with his mysterious past as well as upholding his responsibility to the organization he is working for.

The episode titled "The Patriot" will put the current S.H.I.E.L.D director under the spotlight as Coulson (Clark Gregg) and Mack (Henry Simmons Alphonso) are expected to find out something about Mace that is totally unexpected. At this point, everything is possible regarding the high-profile character. On top of him holding such a high-ranking position, he is also inhuman making him more of a tempting target for secret adversaries.

In the promo clip for the episode, as Mace, Coulson and Mack are traveling they suddenly get attacked by an unknown suspect. And while the teaser did not reveal much in terms of how they will be able to get past the predicament, it is fairly obvious that Mace is a little bit shaken with everything that is going on around him.

Meanwhile, on other subplots that "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" is currently treading this season, Chloe Bennet teases of what her character, Daisy, will think of Coulson and May (Ming-Na Wen) cozying up with each other. In a spoilers roundup for Entertainment Weekly, the actress reveals that upon knowing, Johnson would not have anything else but well wishes for the two. However, for fans who are hoping that the returning agent will be the one to spot the abnormalities on the current LMD May roaming around, Bennet warned to not keep any hopes up.

"It's hard to tell because she already is so distant, so maybe the thing that Daisy would notice most is the whole lack of distance and the pique of her interest in things that maybe she wouldn't be interested in," she pondered on it. "It'll be an interesting reveal when the team finds out."
