'Agents of Mayhem' news: Four-minute cinematic trailer released; game to arrive in 2017

Volition, the studio behind the "Saints Row" and "Red Faction" franchises has just released a lengthy cinematic trailer for its latest game, "Agents of Mayhem." The computer-generated imagery (CGI) trailer was definitely an amazing way to announce this brand new third-person shooter game.
According to The Star, Volition has gained a reputation for coming up with stuff that makes for a chaotic and bizarre gaming experience. Apparently, its games typically enjoy the sandbox approach, where minimal character limitations are placed on the gamer, giving the latter a freehand at roaming and changing a virtual world.
The game's publisher, Deep Silver, announced the game before the 2016 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), which is happening from June 14 to 16 in Los Angeles. In the same vein, it also announced that "Agents of Mayhem" would be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC in 2017.
In the Frequently Asked Questions page of "Agents of Mayhem's" official website, the game was described as a third-person shooter where players would have the option to switch between three Super Agents, each one with its own special abilities.
It appears that some elements of "Saints Row" would be noticeable in the new game, but Deep Silver has made it clear on its official announcement that "Agents of Mayhem" is a completely separate one from the former.
"Featuring an original storyline, trademark over-the-top open-world gameplay, and the look-and-feel of a distinctive superhero cosmos, 'Agents of Mayhem' is a true Volition game," the announcement said. "This new IP is a part of the 'Saints Row' universe, sharing certain story elements, symbolism, and design inspiration with the multi-million selling franchise."
Incidentally, Volition is the premiere game development studio of Deep Silver.
The official release date of "Agents of Mayhem" remains unknown, but fans are hoping that more information will be unveiled at this year's E3 conference. Speculations are rife that Deep Silver will be making a big announcement at the event, but there is no confirmation whether it will be about "Agents of Mayhem" or a newer game.

iOS 10.3 beta 1 is scheduled to seed on January 10th.
