'Agent Carter' Spoilers, Recap: Peggy Carter Deals With Bombs And Sexist Colleagues

The two-hour premiere of "Agent Carter," the new show from Marvel that airs at 9/8c every Tuesday on ABC, saw Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell ) adeptly deal with bombs and her sexist colleagues. She also saved brilliant inventor and businessman Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper) from going to prison.
Carter was first seen in the series grieving after Captain America's presumed death. After the end of the Second World War, she was with the Strategic Scientific Reserve (SSR) as an agent and had to deal with her sexist colleagues who underestimated her. She was later recruited by Stark to help track down a formula for an explosive compound that had been stolen from him.
Later charged with treason, Stark asked his butler Edwin Jarvis (James D'Arcy) to help Carter. She then headed out to question Spider Raymond and proceeded with the investigation without informing her colleagues and boss. She subsequently found Spider and removed an explosive device from his office. Spider was later killed by a man in a green suit. Carter then took the device to her house and deactivated it, but the man in the green suit who had followed her killed her roommate.
Next, Carter headed to a refinery with Jarvis where she found more explosive devices. She caught scientists Leet Brannis (James Frain) and Miles Van Ert (James Urbaniak) making the explosives. When Carter rushed towards them, Brannis escaped by activating one of the devices, resulting in an explosion that blew the refinery to bits. Carter and Jarvis managed to escape, but the license plate from their car fell off.
The next day, Carter and Jarvis tracked the stolen explosive-filled truck. Brannis again tried to steal it. However, the man in the green suit showed up and he proceeded to fight with Carter on top of the truck while Jarvis tried to deactivate the bombs. The truck crashed into the river where it exploded. Carter and Jarvis escaped unhurt but Brannis died after creating a mysterious drawing pertaining to "Leviathan."
Carter and Jarvis then left the scene before her colleagues from SSR showed up. They soon found her license plate and knew that she was the woman who foiled their plans.
