HarperCollins Develops Bible Training for Christian Retailers
HarperCollins Christian Publishing has recently developed and released a new Bible training portal that will train retailers on which types of Bible translations to sell to customers.
The new Bible Training Portal will education retailers on Bible translations, Bible types, and Bible selling so they may be more informed when guiding a customer to the perfect Bible.
The training portal takes the form of an online course where retailer workers can review lessons at their own pace and take a quiz at the end of each chapter to verify they have learned the proper Bible-selling technique. At the end of the course they receive a certificate of completion.
"The Bible is the very center of our work. That's why it was extremely important to us to provide a Bible training program that our retail partners could rely on to educate and equip their staff. We want them to feel confident with the Bibles they are selling and for them to experience an unbiased training portal for all of our partners to use, despite personal preferences and leanings," Dylan Hillhouse, vice president of marketing for HarperCollins Christian Publishing's Bible Group, said in a press release distributed by the publishing group.
Hillhouse added that HarperCollins wants to perfect their new Bible training portal even further by developing new lessons that focus on training.
"Our beta testing has been well-received by retailers thus far," Hillhouse said in the press release. "However, we will continue to make improvements to the training, with plans to add more courses to the portal. We know that specific product training will help Bible retailers understand the differentiating features of the Bibles we publish versus others in the marketplace."
