Bill Cosby Rape Allegations Latest News 2014: Faces Possible Multiple Lawsuits As Another Woman Accuses Him Of Sexual Assault

Bill Cosby is facing the first of what could be multiple legal battles since a number of women have come forward to accuse him of sexual assault.

In a lawsuit filed in the Angeles County Superior Court on Tuesday, Judy Huth claimed that she was sexually assaulted by Cosby in 1974. This lawsuit is different from other complaints made against Cosby because here the complainant is asking for the lifting of the statute of limitations that prevented other Cosby accusers from taking action against the comedian.

In her lawsuit, Huth claimed that she was sexually assaulted by Cosby when she was just 15 years old. However, she said she only recently came to realize that her psychological problems were a result of that attack in 2005. With this as the basis of her complaint, Huth is asking for the statute of limitations to be waived for the case to proceed.

Huth claimed that Cosby met her and a 16-year-old friend while they were on a film set where he invited them to a tennis club. The following week they were invited to his house where she was asked to drink a beer whenever Cosby won a game of billiards. This led to Cosby taking them to Playboy Mansion and eventually sexually assaulting her.

Since news of the lawsuit broke, many legal experts have noted that Huth will have to prove heer allegation. The main reason why Cosby has not been criminally charged is that many of the alleged incidents mentioned by the complainants happened decades ago and could not be pursued anymore for lack of evidence.

Meanwhile, lawyer Gloria Allred held a press conference in which she presented three women who also accused Cosby of assaulting them. Allred asked Cosby to give up his rights under the statute of limitations and allow the women to file cases against him, or else he could establish a fund of $100 million and allow retired judges to decide if the women can get compensation.

Over the past few weeks, several women have accused Cosby of sexually assaulting them or drugging and raping them. But the complaint made by Huth was the first legal action initiated against Cosby.
