Jesus is the answer to restlessness in your hearts; Pope Francis urges millennials to seek Christ at Together 2016

The pope addressed thousands of millennials gathered together for "Together 2016" at the National Mall in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, July 16. The event, centered on the idea that "Jesus changes everything," united the young people in prayer and worship and urged for change.

"What is your restlessness?" asked the pope in Spanish in a YouTube video message (via The Christian Post).

He added, "I know there is something in your heart that moves you, and that makes you restless, because a young person who is not restless is an old person. And you have youthfulness and youthfulness breeds restlessness."

He then encouraged the young people to "find the One who can give you an answer to your restlessness."

"God does not leave anyone disillusioned. Jesus is waiting for you," said the pontiff. "He is the One who planted the seeds of restlessness in your heart."

Aside from the pope, "Together 2016" event also featured other notable speakers, artists, authors and leaders, including apologist Ravi Zacharias, worship band Hillsong United, singer Michael W. Smith and rapper LeCrae.

The event started at 9 a.m. but was forced to end earlier at 4:30 p.m. after medical personnel reported an overwhelming number of people who suffered from extreme heat that rose to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.

Nick Hall of PULSE, a student evangelism movement that planned the event, encouraged attendees that there's a good reason for closing down the event early.

"There might be somebody that needs Jesus that you're supposed to go talk to," CharsimaNews quoted Hall as telling the crowd.

He reminded them that even God taught how He'd leave the 99 to go after that one missing sheep.

Hall also told them to download the "7 Days With Jesus" Together app as a guide for their walk with Jesus Christ.

The hashtag #JesusChangesEverything became the third highest trending hashtag in the country throughout Saturday.
