While Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and his crew have already encountered various villainous groups in "The Walking Dead," none of them will be anything like Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) Saviors.

According to "The Walking Dead" executive producer Greg Nicotero, the group not only wreaks havoc, but does so systematically, with a method that has been working for them for a long time.

"The Saviors, as sadistic as they may appear, they have a system that works for them," Nicotero told Entertainment Weekly. According to the "TWD" boss, the most interesting thing about the Saviors is the mythos surrounding the group, which makes them a major threat even before a person or group actually encounters them.

Nicotero also spoke about one of the major themes for "The Walking Dead" season 7, which is world building. According to the "Walking Dead" EP, in season 7, viewers will get a closer look at the inner workings of each of the communities and how much everyone actually knows about the rest of the world.

"[N]obody really knows what the world has in store for them out there," he said.

Meanwhile, Nicotero has also revealed that a few people have already seen the highly anticipated and undoubtedly gruesome kill scene that will grace the premiere episode of "The Walking Dead" season 7.

Speaking with ComicBook.com, Nicotero said that the scene was played for the season 7 directors and that it may have been too disturbing for some of them.

"As the cuts are available, we want them to see because we want them to get a flavor for what we're doing visually," he explained. "A couple of people have seen it and then they stand next to me for about 24 hours going, 'F—k!' And I'm like, 'What?'"

"People cry, which makes me happy and sad at the same time," he aded.

"The Walking Dead" season 7 will debut in October. The trailer for the upcoming season is expected to drop on Friday, July 22, at the "TWD" panel at the San Diego Comic-Con.
