'Teen Wolf' season 6 spoilers, plot news 2016: Two former cast members could return as creator hints at romance for Scott and Stiles
"Teen Wolf" season 6 is expected to be just as explosive and thrilling as the fifth season, and with series creator Jeff Davis confirming that Dylan O'Brien, who plays Stiles, would be returning following his on-set accident while filming "The Maze Runner," fans are eager to know what's in store for them.
First off, some old-new faces are expected to join the pack this season. Apparently, Meagan Tandy, who played Braeden in the third season of "Teen Wolf," would be back possibly to rekindle her romance with Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin). Incidentally, Hoechlin is another probable returnee this season.
Tandy neither confirmed nor denied her purported appearance in "Teen Wolf" season 6. When she talked to Untitled TV, she said she cannot say anything yet since she is still currently working on two other shows.
"I don't wanna say that I won't be there because it's Jeff Davis, you really just honestly never know. Right now I am on two other shows so take that as you may," she said.
However, she did express her thoughts on Derek and Braeden's involvement, saying when they got together in the series previously, "they kind of just melted into each other and just showed something completely different."
Based on Tandy's statement, it looks like a possible reunion between Derek and Braeden could happen this season, and fans hope that this time, a romance could blossom between their characters.
Meanwhile, following Arden Cho's abrupt decision not to return as Kira for season 6, a huge void in Scott's (Tyler Posey) life certainly needs to be filled. This early, fans are speculating that Scott would find a new love this season. However, considering his failed romances (first it was Allison, now Kira), a partner might just be someone he could do without.
As for Stiles, Davis teased that "something very big and very interesting happens ... in the first episode," and with this pronouncement, fans are hoping it would involve Stiles' relationship with Lydia (Holland Roden). After all, viewers have seen them progress from strangers to best friends, so now, they're hoping the next jump would see them as an official couple before they graduate from high school.
There is no official word yet on "Teen Wolf" season 6's return, but Davis is aiming for a fall premiere on MTV.
