'Sleepy Hollow' season 4 episode 2 spoilers: Will Crane ever warm up to his new partner?

New home, new threats, and a new partner for Crane (Tom Mison) bring in "Sleepy Hollow's" fourth season. But while the majority of the first episode seemed to hint at newcomer Diana (Janina Gavankar) being the new Witness, the last scene certainly seemed to tease otherwise.

It turns out that Diana's mute daughter, Molly (Oona Yaffe), who was shown in the final scene of the previous episode with a sketchbook riddled with Crane's faces, may well be the other Witness that Crane is looking for. This is a rather interesting shift in dynamics that may present a handful of problems going forward. But will Crane catch up to this seemingly unexpected twist before it's too late?

The synopsis for the next episode teases that Crane and Jenny (Lyndie Greenwood) will encounter a significant discovery that they will have to break to Diana no matter how difficult it may seem. Does this discovery have to do with Molly being the new Witness, or will they mistake Diana for the role? If and when they do finally realize that it is the child not the mother whom they are looking for, how could they ever convince Diana to let Molly put herself in harm's way in order to save the rest of humanity?

Things could get out of hand especially when Crane's team learns that their new case may just involve witchcraft. Moreover, there is a new big bad in the form of cocky businessman Rockwell (Jeremy Davies), who is pulling the strings away from all the commotion.

Additionally, in the middle of it all, Crane finds himself wondering if Diana will ever live up to Abby in the trailer for the next episode titled "In Plain Sight." What kind of partnership will the two of them have, and will Crane meet Diana's daughter soon enough to figure out the truth about the new Witness?
