'Rizzoli & Isles' season 7 spoilers: Duo tackles ghost story to solve crime as Maura recovers from surgery

"Rizzoli & Isles" will be taking a break this Monday to give way for Fourth of July festivities, but the sixth episode for season 7 promises another unique storyline when the show returns to the small screen on July 11.

If the last episode saw Jane Rizzoli and Maura Isles investigating the death of a wealthy woman who apparently fell to her death from a flight of stairs, the July 11 episode will have the duo tackling a ghost story in order to solve a crime.

Fans know that most of the cases in "Rizzoli and Isles" involve out-there mysteries and grounded mysteries, and if the synopsis of the upcoming episode titled "There Be Ghosts" is any proof, it looks like the episode will be packed with mystery.

"Jane and Maura must unravel an old ghost story in order to solve a double murder at a hospital. Angela convinces Frankie to stop avoiding Kent and accept his invitation to a concert," read the synopsis posted by Carter Matt.

Meanwhile, the most recent episode titled "Shadow of Doubt" did lay to rest the investigating team's suspicions that the wealthy woman's death was not an accident. There was evidence of a strong motive behind the murder, but two suspects could be pinned for the crime.

According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry's recap of the episode, both the daughter and current husband of the woman, who happened to be a lawyer, could have committed the crime and made it look like an accident. The daughter had a motive after getting into a fight with her mother who demanded she leave her good-for-nothing boyfriend. The husband, on the other hand, could have wanted to kill the wife because of money.

At any rate, it was proven later on that the husband was the killer, and he was trying to pin the blame on his stepdaughter in case the police don't buy the accident angle.

As for the outcome of Maura's minor surgery, she looked to be doing fine and well on her way to recovery. Hopefully, the July 11 episode will show how far Maura has recovered and if she could now relax from worrying too much about the result of her surgery.
