With only a few episodes left before "Rizzoli & Isles" season 7 airs its last, fans can now rest assured that there wouldn't be any more big bads along the lines of Alice Sands (Annabeth Gish). Moreover, all present cast members will be there until the end. At least, that's what showrunner Jan Nash revealed.

Speaking to TV Guide, Nash said Alice Sands would be the duo's final serialized case and villain. Given the number of remaining episodes in the season, she said they simply don't have time to do more while working on other plots for the rest of the series.

"But there are arc-ing stories that go through the episodes. ... All of the episodes this season are very different," she said. "Some are more comedic, some are more thriller, some are about relationships between the characters. Others are about the cases. I think we have an interesting balance this year and some nice episodes."

Nash likewise said that while the show will not veer away from "dark" episodes, one thing she doesn't want is to play "Grim Reaper." She explained having a regular character on the show die "would not be true to the organic chemistry of the series."

Meanwhile, Monday's episode titled "Post Mortem" will see the duo having no recourse but to work with a "brash, eccentric Postal Inspector" (Yvette Nicole Brown) after a mailman is killed. CarterMatt said that this character is holding on to the assumption that the mailman's death is part of a larger conspiracy. How Jane (Angie Harmon) and Maura (Sasha Alexander) handle the situation would be worth anticipating.

The upcoming episode would likewise see Maura fraught with distress over the ramifications of her brain injury. This unexpected hitch could have the doctor thinking about her future in a way she has never done before.

Moreover, Angela (Lorraine Bracco) would try to rescue Vince (Bruce McGill) from committing a grave mistake by intervening upon discovering that he bought Kiki (Christina Change) a terrible birthday present.

"Rizzoli & Isles" season 7 airs Mondays at 9/8c on TNT.
