'Pokemon Sun and Moon' release date and official trailer revealed
For Pokemon fans, the recently concluded Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 gave them a clear timeline on when to expect the new "Pokemon Sun and Moon" game.
According to game developer Nintendo, the game should be released on Nov. 18, and fans were given a treat of what is to come with it.
Along with the release date, Wired also said that the game will be available on the Nintendo 3Ds and this is to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the franchise.
"Pokemon Sun and Moon" should be met with much anticipation as it is the first installment of the seventh generation of the Pokemon series.
And now, an official gameplay trailer of "Pokemon Sun and Moon" has been released. Watch it below:
The game's rating is still pending, as shown in the video, but more importantly, new characters are revealed.
Among them is Pikipek, who is given the abilities of Keen Eye and Skill Link. He is a flying Pokemon and his character is seen with a generally black woodpecker with a red head.
Looking like a marsupial, Yungnoos is a gritty Pokemon with the abilities of Stakeut and Strong Jaw.
Grubbin is a bug with the ability to Swarm as he attacks his opponents and tries to get the win.
Magearna is a mythical Pokemon made of steel and has the ability of Soul-Heart.
There are more features in the game that are briefly explained on the video, but developers have tried to remain silent on other parts of the game like the plot.
Meanwhile, rumors have also circulated that the theme of the "Pokemon Sun and Moon" helps raise awareness on endangered species and environment conservation.
With the game still set to be released a few months from now, expect more updates and features as the days progress.
