'One Piece' chapters 852, 853 spoilers: Reiju's self-sacrifice stuns Sanji; will the prodigal son ultimately decide to save his family?

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the long-running Japanese manga series "One Piece," and creator Eiichiro Oda will definitely not be pulling any punches. With the recent turn of events at the Whole Cake Island, the Sanji Retrieval mission may just turn into a last-ditch attempt to take down Big Mom.

The next chapters of the manga series will surely be exciting ones as the various battles happening inside Big Mom's chateau intensify. These battles could even potentially throw a wedge into the big assassination plan laid out for the Vinsmoke family on Sanji and Pudding's supposed wedding day.

According to reports gathered from various sources, the manga creator himself has estimated that "One Piece" is about 65 to 70 percent complete and that there are only about 20-25 chapters left in the on-going Totto Land Arc. This means that by the middle of this year, the Straw Hat Pirates will have moved on to their next great adventure in the Land of Wano to battle it out with the next Yonkou on their list, Kaido, the big boss of the notorious Beast Pirates.

There are also speculations that the Vinsmokes and the Straw Hat Pirates may set aside their differences for a while and team up against Big Mom's forces. But this will have to come if and when Sanji does decide to save his family and if he wants to keep his sister Reiju alive.

There will be no new chapter published next week, but the previous installment has left fans with good stuff to chew on until the manga returns with a new chapter in two weeks. Reiju has proven herself a true ally to her brother, Sanji, such as she did before when she helped him escape Germa thirteen years ago. It is also through her that Sanji learned the reason behind his failure to become an emotionless superhuman warrior like his brothers.

Sanji's mom may have died from the drugs she took to counteract the Lineage Factor manipulation surgery done on her by her husband, but the fact that it brought Sanji the humanity he has now could be Germa's one and only success. Reiju tells Sanji to reunite with his friends and let the Vinsmokes meet their fate, but will Sanji conceded to such a request?
