NBA trade rumors 2016: Pau Gasol admits being open to different offers; Chicago Bulls' star links to the Spurs, Mavericks
In a league hungry for solid big men who can do multiple things for a team, there are a few accomplished players who have done what Chicago Bulls' star Pau Gasol has achieved in his career.
Already in his 15th year in the league, Gasol has played for three different teams and has reached most success with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Starting off with the Memphis Grizzlies, Gasol now plies his trade with the Bulls as the 35-year-old center is trying to end his career on a high note.
The two-time NBA champion Gasol recently finished his second year with the Illinois club and it has been disappointing as they missed out on the playoffs after dropping their productivity at the tail end of the season.
With a year full of things to forget, Gasol remained one of the brightest spots as he averaged 16.5 points and 11 rebounds per game as many were convinced he found another gear with the Bulls.
However, the reality is that Gasol is nearing the twilight of his career and will want to play with a team that can immediately contend for the title.
In an interview with Marca, the Bulls' power forward admits he is open to different offers that teams have for him and to different projects that a team can give. He said he has done everything he can in the sport and wants to enjoy what he has.
But when asked if he's happy and willing to return to Chicago, Gasol seemed open and had nothing but good things to say about the city and the team.
According to Basketball Reference, Gasol is averaging 18.2 points and 9.5 rebounds per game throughout his career and it seems that he still has a lot left in the tank.
There are a lot of teams who can benefit having Gasol, including the San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Mavericks which have been recently linked with the Spaniard.
