'Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4' DLC release date news: 'Road to Boruto' physical release announced
Bandai Namco Entertainment America has announced that "Road to Boruto," the highly anticipated final downloadable content (DLC) pack for "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4," is getting a North American physical release on top of a digital one.
The video game publisher made the announcement on Tuesday, Nov. 8, on its website. It was previously announced that the upcoming DLC pack for "Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" will have a physical release for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in Europe and in Japan.
"'Road to Boruto' brings together the lightning-paced combat, anime-quality graphics, and epic story mode from 'Ultimate Ninja Storm 4' while integrating an all-new adventure chronicling Boruto Uzumaki's exploits from 'Boruto: Naruto the Movie,'" the publisher's press release read. "In addition to the new story mode, 'Road to Boruto' will also include new playable characters for both offline and online Free Battle Mode and new fighting styles for Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha in their Hokage Naruto and Adult Sasuke costumes," it added.
Aside from these, "Road to Boruto" will reportedly give players the opportunity to explore new parts of the Hidden Leaf Village.
As with the physical release of "Road to Boruto" in Europe and in Japan, the North American release of the upcoming expansion will have the complete "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" game, its three previous DLCs and "Road to Boruto." The entire thing will cost $49.99. Those who will purchase just the new DLC can get it digitally for $19.99.
Anime News Network said that the release is meant for players who already own the game but who also want to get their hands on the new DLC pack. Gamers who have been playing the previous versions will be able to transfer their saved files to the new expansion.
The expansion will have four dubbed voice tracks in English, Japanese, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. It will also come with multiple subtitle options, including English, Italian, French, German, Russian, Arabic, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Traditional Chinese and Korean.
According to Bandai Namco, the physical "Road to Boruto" expansion package will arrive in Europe and in North America on Feb. 3, 2017.
