'Mistresses' season 4 spoilers news 2016: Lines crossed, talent explored as someone from Marc's past resurfaces to bring trouble?

"Mistresses" season 4 is barely past its third episode, but already, the tension is reaching new heights so they needed Game 5 of the NBA Finals to ease it down. The next two episodes of this steaming comedy-drama series from ABC promise to bring more oohs and ahs to viewers, and here's what they can expect.

Karen (Yunjin Kim) and her "manny," Robert (Jerry O'Connell) would no longer be toeing the line as far as their pseudo-relationship goes. Episode 3 titled "Under Pressure," which is airing on June 20, will see the two doing the hanky-panky. The catch? Robert will say something about Karen's parenting skills that would make the latter re-think where things are headed for the two of them.

Joss (Jes Macallan) and Harry (Brett Tucker) would continue dealing with the latter's melodramatic sister, Kate (Tabrett Bethell), who realizes the dating scene in Los Angeles is not quite what she expected. On the other hand, Marc (Rob Mayes) would steer April (Rochelle Aytes) towards her true calling.

The episode would show how heavily the past year's impact still weighs on Joss, which is probably why she would focus her efforts on her job, going above and beyond the call of duty to score a new client. Unfortunately, her actions could bear some potentially shocking consequences as Carter Matt noted.

Titled "Blurred Lines," the June 27 episode might also inject some romantic intrigue along the way, and based on TV Guide's episode overview, it could involve Marc and April. Here's the full synopsis for that episode:

"Karen rejoices in work, even if it means making sacrifices in her love life. Meanwhile, April's new client disregards boundaries; someone from Marc's past resurfaces; Kate's displeased that her ex is moving on; and Joss aggressively pursues a new client."

Viewers of the series know that Marc had a dark past and had to contend with plenty of demons to be where he is now. Will the emergence of this person from his past bring with it the ghosts that Marc is desperately trying to run away from? Is it the end of the line for Karen and her manny?
