Madonna New Album 'Rebel Heart' 2015, Tour Dates List: Set for Release; 35-City Tour Begins in August

Still smarting from her infamous fall during a performance of "Living for Love," a single from her new album, at the Brit Awards last Feb. 25, Madonna is counting the days for the worldwide release of her "Rebel Heart" album and preparing for a 35-city tour to support the album beginning in late August.

"Rebel Heart" will be released on Friday, March 6, in Germany and Japan; March 9 in Europe/U.K.; and March 10 in North America.

Although people were calling the fall a publicity stunt, Madonna was quick to deny it and said she suffered a bit of whiplash and even hit her head during a TV interview. That interview in "The Jonathan Ross Show" will air on March 14.

The fall was due to a wardrobe malfunction in which her flowing cape was not loosened in time before it was pulled back by her back-up performers. Apparently, because of worries that the cape might slide off during the performance, it got tied quite tightly and Madonna tried pulling on the string but it didn't come undone. She had one of two choices – get strangled or fall, and she chose to fall.

Last December, early demo tracks from Madonna's 13th studio album were leaked ahead of the album's release. A man was arrested on suspicion of hacking into the computers of Madonna and other singers. Madonna responded to this hacking by releasing six tracks from the album for purchase on iTunes in December.

A 35-city tour will support the album and it will kick-off on Aug. 29, 2015 in Miami, Florida. This starts the North American leg of Madonna's tour which would include New York, Boston, L.A., Chicago, Philadelphia, Vancouver, Montreal and San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Following the North American leg of the tour, Madonna will begin the U.K./European series of dates on Nov. 4 in Koln, Germany. The tour will then proceed to Barcelona, London, Paris, and Glasgow, and other cities. Tickets for the tour will start going on sale on March 9.
