Kevin Durant grants meetings with Oklahoma City Thunder, San Antonio Spurs and Golden State Warriors
Easily one of the biggest names in the free agency this year, Kevin Durant is certainly weighing things at the moment before he makes a decision where to play next.
For now, the second pick of the 2007 draft is still with the Oklahoma City Thunder, but there are still a lot of teams that are willing to pay the superstar as he will surely help any team become a contender.
After falling short in the Western Conference Finals in the recently concluded season, many question whether the Thunder is still the team to bring Durant his first ever championship.
And with big teams associating themselves with the superstar, it may be a tough position for Durant to reveal where he wants to play next.
However, as reported by RealGM, Durant has granted access to three teams to talk to him and convince him to sign with their franchises.
These are the Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs and the Thunder.
Looking at the line-up of squads, it is easy to see that they are all Western Conference powerhouses and will still be very likely to be contenders by the time the season begins later this year.
And while many consider the Thunder to still be the most likely winner for the Durant sweepstakes, it is still noteworthy to see that other big teams are willing to break the bank, and their current chances, to sign a player with Durant's caliber.
Another RealGM article revealed that the Warriors believe that they are able to give Durant the best shot at a title, as they also found themselves on the losing end this year as they gave up a 3-1 series lead to lose to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Adding Durant to their roster without having to let go of much should only strengthen the team and add to their length and offensive power.
At 27 years old, Durant is still yet to reach his peak but is considered one of the best players in the league today.
He averaged 28.2 points and a career high 8.2 rebounds per game in the regular season, and played all but nine games in the regular season.
Durant is now back to his healthy and usual self and deserves the attention he is getting at the moment.
