HP Elite x3 release date, specs news: Features fingerprint scanner, longer lasting battery
Those looking for a powerful handheld device that is suited for business and work but are not big fans of iOS and Android might find the upcoming HP Elite x3 to be one of the better mobile devices.
The smartphone, which HP unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in February, will run on Windows 10. It will have top-of-the-line specs that should be on the wanted list of those who need a phone that can do everything.
Most recently at the Computex 2016 event in Taipei, the phone has been revealed to come with another one of its newest features, a fingerprint scanner.
While this isn't big news as other devices already have this in their phones, this is a big deal for HP as it shows just how capable they are when it comes to phones. HP may have previously announced that they would have a fingerprint scanner on the upcoming phone, but during its display at Computex, the sample phone has it already integrated.
Add this to the long list of specs that have already been revealed, such as a Snapdragon 820 SoC and 4GB RAM which should greatly help in the phone's multitasking and handling loads of data at any given time.
Furthermore, the phone is said to have a 64 GB internal memory which should be more than enough for mobile storage, but HP goes a little more by allowing the phone to have up to 2TB memory thanks to a microSD slot.
Another thing that many are eager to discover is that the HP Elite x3 has a 4,150 mAh battery that should last a user around a day despite heavy use.
As for the HP Elite x3 release date, HP claimed that it should be available to the public around summer, but there is still no exact date given for its release.
To help customers' interest grow, HP has released different video teasers, with one seen below.
