'Grey's Anatomy' season 13 release date, spoilers 2016: New poster sees Meredith and Seattle in spotlight

The production for "Grey's Anatomy" season 13 has just begun, but there are already loads of updates about the new season to get lost in.

A striking and surprisingly fresh poster for the upcoming season has just been revealed. It shows the right side of Meredith's (Ellen Pompeo) face and body with the left replaced by the Seattle skyline.

The "Grey's Anatomy" season 3 is definitely different from the ones for the previous seasons as it did not feature a tagline. Because of this, various speculations and interpretation emerge.

TVLine says that the artwork hints that Meredith will be faced with the dilemma that comes with whatever she has going on with Riggs (Martin Henderson).

More interpretations collected by Moviefone mostly hint that Meredith could be ready to move on from Derek's (Patrick Dempsey) heartbreaking death.

Others speculate that the poster hints that "Grey's Anatomy" season 13 will see a new Meredith taking on Seattle with a whole new attitude and disposition.

A trailer for the "Thank God it's Friday" lineup of ABC (including "Scandal" and "How to Get Away with Murder") hints also of a positive vibe in "Grey's Anatomy" season 13. With that said, Meredith may no longer have that gloomy aura anymore.

The clip was basically a supercut of dancing and happy moments across all three shows. Of course, this is as always the tone when it comes to TGIT shows.

Either way, it is looking like a dynamic and vibrant season for Meredith, who will now have Riggs and their hook-up sessions to deal with in "Grey's Anatomy" season 13 as opposed to grieving her husband's death.

One photo shared by cast member Sarah Drew is a photo of her and Jesse Williams, who plays Jackson in the series.

The photo has garnered speculations that things between the characters will be better in "Grey's Anatomy" season 13.
