'Girl Meets World' season 3 spoilers, plot news: Writers hinting short-lived Rucas romance in cryptic tweets?
he longstanding love triangle involving Riley (Rowan Blanchard), Maya (Sabrina Carpenter) and Lucas (Peyton Meyer) has finally been resolved in "Girl Meets World" season 3 with Rucas coming out if it.
However, there are new speculations that the newly-formed couple might not last. This comes from the series of cryptic tweets shared by the writers of the show.
"This week: Ski Lodge Part 2, in which we don't make the right decisions. Because we love the characters too. And as you will see, the characters have minds of their own," a couple of the tweets read.
"And because of that, they will examine the positions we have put them in. And the story will let us finally know what is important. Enjoy it," the writers continued.
Some interpreted the tweets as the pairs – Lucas and Riley as well as Maya and Josh (Uriah Shelton) born out of the "Girl Meets World" season 3 episode in question were the wrong decisions. Others understood that as "Girl Meets World" season 3 goes on, the show will prove that the couples will remain intact by the end of the season. From how the writers said it, it appears that they will let the characters prove through their actions and their dispositions that the choices they made were the right ones. The writers know that these tweets were a bit puzzling and they should be at this point. "They and everything else will make perfect sense with the last lines of episode 21," they promised.
For now, fans will see Lucas and Riley be happy as a couple in "Girl Meets World" season 3. Undoubtedly, there will be challenges along the way to test their love.
With that big reveal out of the way, the focus will now be on Shawn (Rider Strong) and Katy (Cheryl Texiera) big wedding. The episode will be directed by Cory himself, Ben Savage.
Titled "Girl Meets I Do," this highly anticipated "Girl Meets World" season 3 episode, which will stage an epic "Boy Meets World" reunion as well, will air on Friday, Aug. 12 at 8:30 p.m. EDT on Disney Channel.
