Actor Jason Momoa once played the highly popular character Khal Drogo in the first season of "Game of Thrones." Drogo was romantically involved with one of the series' lead players, Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), although their story was cut short when he was killed before the first season's finale. Many fans still remember Momoa's memorable scenes in the show, but recently, there are speculations that his character might be seen once again in the seventh season of HBO's hit fantasy series.

The rumors regarding Khal Drogo's return in "Game of Thrones" began when Jason Momoa was seen posing for a picture together with the series' writers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. The picture was posted on Instagram by Momoa and has since stirred the online community due to the possibility that the actor is meeting with the "Game of Thrones" writers for a comeback, International Business Times reported.

The speculations intensified when Momoa recently shared a fan art of Khal Drogo as a white walker. However, the online publication's unknown source claims that Drogo will stay dead and Momoa will not be filming scenes for the upcoming season. After all, Khal Drogo's corpse was already burnt during the Season 1 finale, and there is no way the character can be resurrected as a white walker and appear as a reanimated person in Season 7.

TMZ reported that Khal Drogo is one of those dead characters in "Game of Thrones" which the fans remain very hopeful to come back alive someday. It can be possible as Kit Harington's character, Jon Snow, was also declared dead in Season 5 but revived through a resurrection spell in Season 6. There is no confirmation from HBO regarding the return of dead characters in Season 7, but the fans who shipped the tandem of Khal Drogo and Daenerys are still hoping for his return.

"Game of Thrones" Season 7 will premiere Summer next year, contrary to the previous seasons that started during Spring.
