It appears as though gamers will have to play the waiting game a bit longer before they can get their hands on the long-awaited "Fallout 4" mods for the PlayStation 4.

Unfortunately, developer Bethesda Softworks is yet to provide concrete details on the matter as they themselves don't have access to updates.

"We're working with Sony on Fallout 4 mod support for PS4," Bethesda marketing head Pete Hines tweeted out. "The process is still under evaluation. As soon as we learn more, we will share news," he added.

Hines also refuse to give his word on the possible release date of the "Fallout 4" PS4 mods so that there will be no harm done if they once again fail to be the said deadline.

When pressed to give updates, he said, "Sorry, but I'm not going to do that. Nor risk further delays than we've already had by saying something. When I have info, I'll share."

Hines said that they have not received any updates on the status of the "Fallout 4" PS4 mods. With that said, Bethesda, like fans, are still waiting for news.

The "Fallout 4" PS4 mods were supposed to be released late June but were delayed indefinitely. Bethesda cited serious issues involving the beta, sound support as well as memory and performance.

Unlike the PS4, the players of the Xbox One already got their "Fallout 4" mods end of May. The studio was also having issues with the mod storage limit, which was only 900 MB, much less than the 2 GB limit on the Microsoft console.

Hines knows that it is not the best idea to keep fans in the dark of what is happening with the "Fallout 4" PS4 mods. He said that they made the issue understood to "others," but to no avail.

Right now, Bethesda appears to be asking fans to be patient. Gamers hope that the "Fallout 4" PS4 mods will be worth the wait.
