'Fairy Tail' chapters 517, 518 spoilers: Does Irene have a bigger, bloodier plan in store for herself and Erza?
Irene may have made a play on acquiring a newer, more youthful human body upon seeing the perfect candidate in fellow dragon slayer and enchanter Wendy. However, doing so has turned out to be a fatal oversight on her part.
Just when fans the Japanese manga series "Fairy Tail" think all was lost after Irene took over Wendy's body, it only took the previous chapter for the Sky Dragon Slayer to get her lithe but surprisingly very powerful body back. Even after Irene injured the body to incapacitate it, Wendy still fought to switch themselves back to where they rightfully belong. Because no matter how small and scarred her body might be, it was made invaluable by the memories she has shared with her friends in the Fairy Tail guild.
And now, mother and daughter are back at their throats again in the next chapter titled "Master Enchantment." Although Erza may have had some reservations about killing Irene after finding out her relation to the Scarlet Despair, what Irene did to Wendy was downright unforgivable. Does this mean that the upcoming battle between mother and daughter will turn out to be a bloody fight to the end?
But now that Wendy is in a faint from her injuries, how will Erza match up to the enchantments that Irene may bring upon her? What is the Master Enchantment, and how will this affect Erza's chances of winning against her mother?
Now that the fans' worst fears of having to see Erza kill Wendy for the greater good have been averted, what other twists and turns are in store in the future chapters of "Fairy Tail"?
Tripped Media speculated that this may all just be a ruse that Irene is doing to get her own daughter to kill her for her crimes, in reference to a similar incident in previous chapters involving Gray and his father. The speculation was inspired by how easily the much younger Wendy has defeated the supposedly more powerful Irene in her own game, which all seemed like an act to pave the way to a much grander scheme.
A new chapter of "Fairy Tail" comes out in the next issue of the "Weekly Shounen Magazine."
