'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2' news, roster update: Majin Vegeta joins the roster; 'Dragon Ball Super' episodes to be added

More characters are being confirmed to be included in the new roster of fighters for the upcoming video game "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2." Just recently, it was confirmed that Majin Vegeta will be among the new warriors to be introduced in the game sequel.

As reported by Game Spot, Majin Vegeta will join the new lineup of fighters in the "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2," and the gamers should watch out for the distinct changes between the new character and Vegeta's original form. Majin Vegeta was first introduced in the "Dragon Ball Z" series, particularly during the Majin Buu saga. The evil sorcerer Babidi, the creator of Majin Buu, chose Vegeta as his next servant to help him spread chaos in the world. His magic turned Vegeta into a corrupted individual with the Majin sign on his forehead. His Saiyan powers were also increased during the process, but his personality became darker as well.

It also appears that familiar faces in "Dragon Ball Z" will not be the only ones featured in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2." According to the latest rumors, it is possible that the recent episodes of "Dragon Ball Super" will be included in the upcoming game sequel.

Siliconera reported "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" game producer Masaki Hirano teasing the possibility that the new episodes in the "Dragon Ball" series will be included in the game. It is not yet confirmed how much of the still ongoing anime series will be shown in the game, although it was already reported that "Dragon Ball Super" characters such as Future Trunks and Black Goku will be a part of the game as pre-ordered DLC characters.

On the other hand, prior to the full release of the video game this October, Bandai Namco announced that an open beta for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" is coming soon. The open beta will give the players a first glimpse of the new things in the latest "Xenoverse" video game. They will be able to see the renovations done in the first game "Dragon Ball Xenoverse" released last year.  It has been reported that the open beta may give the players a preview of the new map location, Conton City. This city was already shown in the latest game trailer, which is reported to be seven times larger than the map from the first game installment.
