Elektra (Elodie Yung) will have more adventures with Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) in "Daredevil" season 3 if the reports are to be believed. According to rumors, Elektra will be brought back to life in the new season, but she will no longer be The Man Without Fear's ally.

In the previous season, Elektra's body was recovered by The Hand. It is rumored that the evil group will resurrect her to become their weapon, known as the new Black Sky, in "Daredevil" season 3.

This is evident in the final episodes of the previous season, where the members of The Hand put Elektra's corpse inside a sarcophagus. The blood of children controlled by the Farm was previously used on the same sarcophagus, presumably to bring back dead members of The Hand.

In the comics, Elektra's history with The Hand is extensive. The show will likely put that to good use especially with the character already brought into the show's world.

With that said, it appears as though Daredevil will deal with a very familiar face in "Daredevil" season 3. Elektra as the Black Sky will wage war against Hell's Kitchen and the moonlighting lawyer will have to work hard to prevent chaos and destruction in his beloved city.

This might even lead to Daredevil bringing together the Defenders, which is made up of Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Iron Fist (Finn Jones).

It is rumored that the Devil of Hell's Kitchen will be the man leading the team. However, "Daredevil" season 3 won't be out in two years and the miniseries will be released first in 2017.

In other related news, Netflix head Ted Sarandos spoke at the Television Critics Association (TCA) press tour about releasing five Marvel shows a year instead of just two since they have a lot in the offing.

"I doubt that we could produce at the quality that they produce at that speed. But we're gonna try to make them quicker so we can get less downtime between them," Sarandos explained, as reported by IGN.

Because of this, "Daredevil" season 3 won't be aired until 2018.
