'Batman The Telltale Series' PC release date problems, reviews 2016: Telltale Games offers patch for fix graphics
"Batman: The Telltale Series" has just been released to the personal computer (PC) and it did not take long for players to spot glaring issues in the game. Thankfully, developer Telltale Games has finally released a patch.
The initial experience of gamers in "Batman: The Telltale Series" was disastrous as it suffered from resolution, horrible lags and frame rate issues, which downgrades to 10 frames per second. The dialogue also often did not sync with the animation.
Telltale Games has addressed the grumbles of players and stated that upon investigation, many of the complaints come from gamers who run the game on integrated graphics cards instead of dedicated.
The studio also thinks that out of date drivers are to blame as well. Nevertheless, Telltale Games pushed out a patch for "Batman: The Telltale Series" PC to bring the game to the quality it should be.
As per the developer, the patch does two things. One is that it "automatically defaults the game to run on dedicated graphics card."
Second is that it "adds graphics settings to enable selection of Higher Performance Textures or Higher Quality Textures (please select Higher Performance if performance is an issue)."
Telltale also reiterated that players should make sure that their drivers are up to date. "Batman: The Telltale Series" should run as it should on PC now, but the studio promises to investigate things further.
Because of this graphical mishap, the Steam page for the game bled with over 400 negative reviews on the game's launch day. However, new reviews show that Telltale's patch worked.
It is a mystery for now if such is the case for the rest of the gamers. For now, it appears that Telltale's patch should finally give fans the epic "Batman: The Telltale Series" experience they hoped for.
"Batman: The Telltale Series" is one of the highly-anticipated games of this year that allows players to be Bruce Wayne and the Dark Knight as well. However, it is also the second game in recent years that released with issues.
Last year, "Batman: Arkham Knight" did not live up to the hype, with resolution and graphics issues that got so worse and unmanageable, it had to be pulled from the market.
