AMD Radeon RX 480 release date news update: Leaked benchmark scores give impressive update on GPU

With games ever-evolving and improving in gameplay, graphics and overall experience, the constant need for better graphics cards and CPU paraphernalia is never ending.

And with that understanding, AMD is set to release one of its best to date, the AMD Radeon RX 480.

This GPU has so much working for them according to reports and leaked information making rounds online, and that has made this one of the more anticipated graphics cards to date.

First off, AMD revealed on their Twitter page that the Radeon RX 480 will be released on June 29, stating that the graphics card will come at a very impressive $199 retail price.

With games now leaning towards virtual reality, AMD also boasts that the low price tag of the GPU does not sacrifice the quality, as it should still be able to take care and properly replicate VR and gaming as needed.

Looking at what's already available for information online, the $199 should be the 4GB version, while the 8GB variant is said to be $230.

As for benchmark scores, the Radeon RX 480 impresses so far as shown by TweakTown's benchmark record for the GPU.

Now, given that the Radeon RX 480 is the newer technology, many can argue that it should be the case, but the fact that the price point is at $199 for the AMD GPU, while NVIDIA's is at $450 above, then AMD makes a solid case for a more bang-for-the-buck purchase.

While it is still behind in other aspects with the much more expensive GeForce GTX 1080, AMD is proving that they are catering to the more casual gamer who is bound by budgets.

Fans and gaming enthusiasts should stay tuned for more updates until the Radeon RX 480's release later this month.
