It's safe to say that Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz and undefeated title challenger Cody Garbrandt don't really like each other. The two have been sniping at each other for months now, and in an interview to hype up the fight, they got into it once again. But when the conversation shifts to Garbrandt's girlfriend, things got even more heated than usual.

"She shouldn't be hollering at me on social media. Keep her to yourself. As far as I'm concerned, I did you and her a favor. She obviously wears the pants in the relationship or else she wouldn't be having to defend you," Cruz said during the exchange that aired on the Fight Network (transcribed by MMA Fighting).

Garbrandt wasn't going to take that sitting down and he challenged Cruz to a fight right then and there. "I'll come across there right now. You're a room away," Garbrandt said.

Well, Cruz's verbal jabs usually hit as hard as his punches, and he continued to taunt Garbrandt while the challenger was trying to take off his microphone. Garbrandt eventually left the interview in search of Cruz. Thankfully, he was followed by several UFC officials, so he didn't do anything stupid before their title fight.

Cruz did not leave the room the whole time, but he took several shots at Garbrandt when he heard his opponent throwing things outside the room. "He has to do this, because this is what an alpha, a savage does," Cruz stated.

Garbrandt trains at Team Alpha Male, and Cruz has been the team's public enemy #1 since his fights with Urijah Faber and Joseph Benavidez.

Garbrandt may be undefeated but he has never fought a fighter of Cruz's level. The last time Cruz tasted defeat was in 2007, and that was against Faber. Since then, he has become the World Endurance Championship (WEC) bantamweight champion, and after the WEC merged with the UFC, he became the first UFC bantamweight champion.

Cruz never lost the belt, but he had to vacate it after he was sidelined by injuries for a long period of time. Cruz and Garbrandt will fight for the UFC bantamweight belt at UFC 207 on Dec. 30.
