It's been over three years since Michael Schumacher sustained a head injury while skiing in the French Alps, but his health condition remains a mystery to the public. His family still refuses to disclose any information regarding his recovery, and they don't want to deal with the media. That's actually quite understandable. Let's face it, the media can be intrusive at times and the Schumacher family is only looking after Michael's health. With this in mind, his fans will have to wait for statements from his family if they want to know about his current condition.

There may not be any official updates while he continues to recover, but some snippets of news have continued to come out. Late last month, The Sun had reported that the medical bill has already reached £13.8 million. That's approximately $16.8 million. Well, that's not exactly surprising. After all, Schumacher has been in the hospital for three years now. Apparently, Schumacher is receiving a £115K-a-week treatment.

According to The Sun, Schumacher's former Benetton teammate, Johnny Herbert, did give a little update about his condition by saying Michael has "good days and bad days." Right now, the Schumacher family isn't planning to release any official statement about his health.

Last month, Schumacher's manager, Sabine Kehm, disclosed that his health was going to remain a private matter.

"Michael's health is not a public issue, and so we will continue to make no comment in that regard. We have to protect his intimate sphere. Legally seen and in the longer term, every statement related to his health would diminish the extent of his intimate sphere," she said in a statement (via The Telegraph).

"Michael has always been very protective of his privacy, even during the most successful times of his career. He has always made sure there is a clear and distinct line between his public persona and his private one," she added.
