Matt Ryan-Sarah Marshall Ryan update: Ryan is out to prove that he's this season's MVP

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan is on a roll right now. The Seattle Seahawks might be one of the best defensive teams in the National Football League (NFL) in the past few years, but the Falcons' offense was too much for them to handle during their game at the Georgia Dome last Saturday. As the quarterback, Ryan is the catalyst of the Falcons' running game and many observers have been saying that he is currently playing the best football of his career right now.

Is he the best player in the NFL this season? Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been exceptionally good this season, and Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott has turned some heads as well. And as always, New England Patriots quarterback is also in the running for league MVP. However, many believe that Ryan is the leading candidate right now, and Football Outsiders thinks he's going to win the NFL MVP award this season.

"The most statistically dominant quarterback on the league's best offense is always a strong MVP candidate, if not the favorite, and no one fits that bill better in 2016 than Ryan. He leads the NFL in passing yards per attempt (9.26), yards per completion (13.3), and touchdown pass percentage (6.8 percent), and his 115.5 passer rating would rank fifth in NFL history," Football Outsider's Scott Kacsmar said in his piece about Ryan.

While Ryan is getting all the accolades and attention from the press, his wife, Sarah, has always been around to support him. She may not be in the spotlight like Ryan, but Sarah's just as much an athlete as her husband. In fact, she happens to be a basketball legend in Maine. Sarah currently works for the WNBA's Atlanta Dream as a sponsorship sales consultant. And like many football fans, she strongly believes that Ryan should win the MVP award this year.
