Texas Governor Rick Perry has condemned a photo posted to his Twitter account that mocks Democratic District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg and her alleged drunk driving mishap from earlier this year.

The graphic, posted to Perry's official Twitter account Sunday evening, shows a photo of Travis County District Attorney Lehmberg with the phrase: "I don't always drive drunk at 3X the legal blood alcohol limit, but when I do, I indict Gov. Rick Perry for calling me out about it. I am the most drunk democrat in Texas."

The graphic is in relation to Perry's recent indictment by a grand jury for two felonies of abuse of power relating to Lehmberg. Earlier this year, Lehmberg was arrested for a DUI after being pulled over and tested as being over three times the legal limit for alcohol consumption while driving. Perry asked her to resign, and when she refused, he vetoed $7.5 million in funding that goes to the Travis County District Attorney for monitoring corruption.

Those who opposed Perry's move argued he was abusing his executive power by vetoing the funds, especially because Travis County is a rare Democratic hub in a largely Republican state. Perry defended his actions, saying he was defending Texas law and would make the same decision again if he had the opportunity.

Perry took to Twitter on Sunday after the graphic was posted to say he did not approve of the image. The graphic was then removed from the social media outlet.

"A tweet just went out from my account that was unauthorized. I do not condone the tweet and I have taken it down," Perry wrote.
