Jessa Duggar Posts Bible Verse About 'Overcoming Evil' Following Church Sex Rumors
Sex rumors regarding Jessa Duggar and her newlywed husband, Ben Seewald, regarding their wedding day have begun to swirl, and although Duggar has not directly addressed the rumors, she did take to Instagram to post about "overcoming evil."
Duggar recently wed Seewald in a wedding held in Arkansas in front of 1,000 guests. Unlike her sister, Jill, Duggar and Seewald chose to share their first kiss together in private, instead of in front of the congregation following the exchanging of vows.
One wedding guest is now claiming, however, that Duggar and Seewald reportedly consummated their marriage in a side room of the church where they exchanged vows. The guest, going by the name Mary B., recently wrote on her blog "My Life As A Stay At Home Wife And Mom" that Jessa's little sister, Jinger, reportedly walked in on Jessa and Seewald doing more than kissing in a side room of the church.
"Multiple people were discussing that when Jinger opened the door to get Jess for the reception, she immediately closed the door with a look of shock on her face," Mary wrote in the blog post, which has since been deleted. "A big group of the girls were waiting outside the room to walk with her out [...] and my own daughters saw as well."
"I am not sure why they would not wait for the evening to pray and then consummate God's marriage," Mary B. continued, adding: "This really made me question Ben's headship and leadership skills. I pray he is not swayed to evil. I pray he acts as strong husband and worship leader to Miss Jessa."
Although Jessa has not directly addressed the claims, she did post a Bible verse from Romans 12 on her Instagram following the blog post that many say is a response to the sex rumors.
"Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good," Jessa posted on Instagram, in part, on Saturday.
